INTERVIEW ELIGIBILITY:

Attend 3 events, including 1 Informational Night, required. Interviews are invite-only and held on Sunday 01/14.

Your expected graduation date must be on or after June 2025.

You must be a full-time student (more than 12 credits) at UW Seattle.

For freshmen/transfer students, your GPA must be at least 3.0.
-
For all other students, your GPA must be at least 2.7.
-
Those previously affiliated with other sororities are ineligible for a bid (affiliation starts when you accept a bid).

DO I HAVE TO BE ASIAN TO JOIN?
Definitely not. As an organization that seeks to promote cultural awareness, we hold the concept of equality in the highest regard. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, age, national origin, or sexual orientation. We are an all-inclusive sorority. WILL BEING IN A SORORITY AFFECT MY GRADES?
We are all in college for the purpose of education. Academic excellence is very important to us and a minimum GPA is required of all sisters. In many ways, joining alpha Kappa Delta Phi can be beneficial to your grades. The house is filled with years of academic experience from sisters past and present. Think of it as your own personal college experience database. Our sisters' high GPAs and our successful alumnae show our continuous dedication to education, as well as motivation to strive higher!
DO I HAVE TO ATTEND ALL RUSH EVENTS?
Certainly not! The minimum requirements to be eligible for an interview are specified on the rush flyers and Facebook event page for each recruitment season. However, it is recommended and encouraged to attend as many events as possible, since the rush is an important time when you can ask questions about the sorority and get to know the sisters. It also gives us a chance to learn more about you too!
WILL I BE HAZED?
No. aKDPhi and the University of Washington have a strict no hazing policy. We do not partake in harming any of our new members, as the new member process is an educational period for New Members to get to know the sisters on a better level, and to learn more about the history, values, and traditions of the sorority, as well as to prepare them for the responsibilities of an active. We would never intentionally harm any of our new members because that is not how we believe future sisters should be treated.
