SISTERHOOD

"Timeless friendship through sisterhood."
Sisterhood is the most rewarding part of alpha Kappa Delta Phi and our chapter is able to provide a supportive network of sisters. We have a diverse group of women with different backgrounds, personalities, and experiences, who come together to form a tight bond of sisterhood. Our sisters enjoy spending time with one another with food, music, and various other activities, such as hiking, brunching and DIY projects. Our chapter attends Fall and Spring Northwest Sisterhood, as well as Convention, in order to meet and connect with other sisters from across the country.

ASIAN-AWARENESS

As an Asian-interest sorority, we promote both Asian and Asian American awareness. Our chapter helps volunteer and support a variety of cultural organizations around the Seattle community. In the university, we support many diverse organizations of ASUW Asian Student Commission by attending events that they work hard to plan and host. We also participate in large culture events by hosting our own events to spread awareness. Pi Chapter has a culturally diverse group of sisters and we love to learn about other cultures and traditions.

LEADERSHIP

Through alpha Kappa Delta Phi International Sorority, Inc. all our sisters are able to challenge her weaknesses, develop her strengths, and discover the great potential that she has within. Our sisters are leaders in the sorority, university, and beyond. Our alumnae and actives also inspire and teach our new sisters a plethora of life skills such as time management, perseverance, and responsibility. The leadership and professional skills of our sisters enhance immensely through enriching leadership and business experiences from being part of this sorority. These skills are able allow her to apply them to her post-undergraduate career. As leaders, we strive to better ourselves and our community.

SCHOLARSHIP

With scholarship as one of our pillars, we strive to maintain the highest academic achievement as a chapter. Although our chapter has a diverse set of majors and career interests, many of our sisters have been rewarded and recognized with many academic scholarships and excellence. One of our goals as a chapter is to promote and encourage the growth of a successful women. With a group of strong sisters and alums, our chapter strives to give the utmost support and encouragement to one another as a way to maintain the highest level of scholarship. We are students foremost. Some of the things, we do include participating in weekly study tables, attending MGC-hosted academic events, and hosting career-related alum panels. By doing so, we hope our sisters graduate as successful Asian Americans in our society.

SERVICE

Service is one of the main aspects of alpha Kappa Delta Phi. We have participated and volunteered in numerous events each quarter, and continue to work with other organizations to give back to the community. Whether it's educating ourselves, broadening our views and perspectives of our environment, or just having fun, we always feel that each project is an opportunity to experience something new. Looking back upon all that we've done, we feel a huge sense of satisfaction in ourselves and in each other. It is also a good feeling knowing that we are a sorority acknowledged for our service to the community.

"Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together."

Additionally, the foundation is committed to supporting the development of our sisters as well as the philanthropic efforts of our organization.

Boobie Beats

Boobie Beats is our annual Breast Cancer Awareness showcase hosted each year in October. It's an evening filled with great performances, music, fun, and support for our National Philanthropy. Leading up to Boobie Beats is a week full of fundraising and spreading awareness about Breast Cancer within the University of Washington and the community.
